Great idea, Andrea

Not only does it help each of us but also all of us as a whole.
In the words of Gandhi " Become the change you wish to see." We, as a collective embody what we focus on. We create it.
So, you have taken a wonderful step toward creating a possitive space here at your site.
Kudos from me & from the universe.

Today my reality was seeing a pileated woodpecker working on a utility pole.  My cat hunting a mole...unsuccessfully but with vigor.  Being taken to lunch for my birthday.  Laughing with a friend.

Working on two astrology reports...that I love to do!  I also ran around the house with my headphones on dancing to get some exercise... Guess that's about it for today.  Going out to space clear a house tonight.

AND one more thing... American Idol starts tonight and there will be a new episode of Psychic Children.  Life is good and my car is clean.

Hot bath and a glass of wine.  Now that's a nice reality!

Also, chuckling at the image of Pam dancing "for exercise" in her living room with headphones on!  What were you listening to?

Here, in no particular order, and for no reason other than I have a quiet patch at work and can’t face a 200 page software design document, are some of the things that have made me happy recently:

·         Listening to my flatmate singing to himself in the shower, and changing the lyrics to smut.

·         Getting a coffee on the way to the office in the morning, and that moment of just holding the warm cup and inhaling steamy, life-giving java fumes.  Bliss.

·         Watching someone unselfconsciously talking to their dog...and the dog listening intently as if it understands every word.

·         The Xbox achievement popup!

·         Laughing at the faux science in cosmetics television commercials: “Hydroaction liposomes”, “TautenineTM!!!”  “Elastinium”, “Micro-dermo-abrasion!!”

·         My iPhone, for he is a sleek tablet of shiny technological wonderment that gives me a twinge of techno-joy every time I have to use him.

·         My dear friend Andrea’s unassailable sense of positivity!

·         Sookie Stackhouse novels, part supernatural thrillers, but mostly soft-core porn.

·         Christina Yang.

·         Duck Gyoza Pho Soup...my new lunchtime addiction.

·         My job, odd but true.  Actually feel as though in my daily work I am directly making things better for the London commuter, that most beleaguered and downtrodden of London wildlife.  My boss is also awesome, which really helps!

These are just the ones I can think of right now.  Now off to make myself a cup of office coffee (which sadly will never be included in a list of things that make me happy!)

P.S.  Hi Pam!

My people!

Things that made me happy today...

Working out with my husband this morning. He's such a good sport even when it hurts. And he's so nice.

Looking at my work schedule at 2:00 and realizing no one else was left on it. Time to jet!

Roxy dog's new sweater. She loves it, prances around like she feels beautiful. Think I'll buy us all one!

Seeing Steve's name on Dre's message board. Hi Steve!

My rock-n-roll yum-yum, Jared Leto. (sigh)

An email I got from one of Crosby's teachers. They displayed her one of her projects at "open house" last night. That thing was such a pain in the ass for her. Perseverance pays off for the kiddo. Can't wait to see her after school. Gonna squeeeeze her!

And these quotes from Fredrich Neitzsche
"The problem with heaven is that all the interesting people are missing."
"Man's maturity, to regain the seriousness he had as a child at play."  and
"There is always some madness in love. But there is always some reason in madness."

Big squeezes to Dre, Pam and Steve!

Got back in the yoga saddle today and am feeling transformed!  Then I ate a big piece of cake.  Life is good!

I'm bustling around the house trying to clean things up a bit, you know, the mess getting a little out of hand, and my mind is full of what I "have to do".  Then I turn the vacuum off and notice the golden light seeping through our South window.  I notice how it kinda makes the wood floors gleam and fills the house with a custard glow that feels so familiar and then I think I've been here and remember watching my mom clean the house and turn off the vacuum and take notice of the light.

Today, my reality includes the following things that I am grateful for:

That great feeling of having done something nice for my body.  An hour of yoga used to seem like a long time.  Now it goes by fast!

That satisfied, but not full feeling I get when I eat a LOT of salad.  Salad makes me present when I am eating.  It's hard to eat salad fast...

My dog.  My crazy, crazy dog.  And my less crazy cat.

The fact that although I feel like I did not accomplish  much today, I still had a very nice day.  And the windows are open because it is warm outside!

Scott is off tonight and all day tomorrow.  Yippee!

Getting to do it all over again tomorrow!  (only better)

This morning I woke up warm and dry.  I had instant light with the flick of a finger.  I pressed a button on the refrigerator and was rewarded with a crystal clear stream of cool, filtered, clean water.  I am so blessed that I can afford to leave the faucet on a small stream so that my ginormous black cat can drink directly from it.  I sat down in front of a screen and keyboard and Presto!  I have acess to endless mental stimulation and potential connection to other beings.  Who says life isn't one magic trick after another?

Today, my reality consists of:

Consciously doing household chores and loving it!
90 minute yoga session that really stretched my  body.
Beautiful Whole Foods salad bar salad for lunch post yoga.
Chocolate cupcake post-salad.
My dog is keeping me company sitting next to the heater by my feet.  Occasionally his ears flap as the hot air blows on his head.  He can't even keep his eyes open!
Oh, and it is beautiful and sunny outside with a blue sky.
Ahhh Sunday....
